From the time Ben Logan graduate Courtney Forsythe was a little girl, she liked to run. “My mom told me that I just always wanted to run,” Forsythe said. “We could be going anywhere and I’d say, ‘Can I run? Can I run?’ I would go to my sister’s tee-ball practices and after her practices, I would run the bases. I just liked running.”

A meeting is set for boys entering seventh or eighth grade who wish to play for the Kenton Middle School club soccer team. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. near the Kenton High School practice soccer field. BLUFFTON — Junior All-American Terrill Webb, a Kenton High School graduate, is the first Bluffton University track and field athlete to earn All-Academic honors from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

DUNKIRK — There will be sign-ups for Hardin Northern flag football on Tuesday for students entering kindergarten through third grade. Registration will run from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Dunkirk Park. The cost is $25.

UPPER SANDUSKY — The team of Mark Ruggles, Steve Ruggles, Andre Miller and Austin Miller posted a 59 to take first place in the Riverdale Community Lions Golf Scramble on Saturday at Lincoln Hills Golf Course. There were 16 teams that competed.

The last day of the Kenton youth tennis camp was Tuesday, ending eight weeks of tennis instruction for area youth.

The Kenton Area Swim Team scored 1,094 points at the Western Ohio Aquatic League championship swim meet earlier this month to place sixth overall. Kenton also won the sportsmanship award.
