DEFIANCE — The Kenton track and field team had a pair of athletes advance to regionals based on their performance on the first day of district track Wednesday at Defiance College.

BOWLING GREEN — The first 15 minutes of Division II Northwest District tennis didn’t go very well for Ada sophomore Zach Beaschler on Wednesday. The rest of the day was great.

BELLEFONTAINE — The Benjamin Logan Athletic Department is hosting its annual Physical Exam Day for all students who are needing a physical exam for sports, camps, work or other activities for the upcoming 2016-2017 school year.

The annual Dola, Dunkirk, Hardin Northern community golf outing will be held Saturday, June 11 at the Bluffton Golf Course. Any individual who lives in the Dola, Dunkirk community, Hardin Northern school district and/or is a graduate of Dola, Dunkirk or Hardin Northern schools is invited to participate.

DOLA — The third annual Taylor’s Way 5k run/walk, held in memory of Taylor Carder, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 18 at Hardin Northern School.

BELLEFONTAINE — The Benjamin Logan High School Athletic Department is holding its spring sports banquet to honor the athletes who participated in baseball, softball, boys track and field and girls track and field on Tuesday, May 24 at 6:30 p.m. in the high school commons. Cake and punch will be provided and friends and family are invited to attend.

The first farm Indians defeated the Mariners 10-6 Friday. For the Indians, Austin Plymale had a grand slam home run and a single, Jayden Wallace had two doubles; Carter Heydinger had two singles and Ayson Scott and Brendon Hooe had doubles.

ADA — Ada sophomore Zach Beaschler is preparing for Division II Northwest District tennis which begins Wednesday at Bowling Green State University. “I feel well-prepared,” Beaschler said.

The Ridgemont High School golf program is hosting a four-person best-ball golf scramble on Saturday, June 25 at Colonial Hills Golf Course. The event is a fundraiser to help the team purchase supplies and equipment.
