LEIPSIC — Riverdale could not recover the lead after a fourth-inning scoring outburst by Leipsic in a 10-9 Blanchard Valley Conference baseball loss Monday. The Falcons fell behind, 3-1, in the first two innings before scoring a run in the third and five runs in the fourth to take a 7-3 lead.

WAYNESFIELD — The Ridgemont girls won the Northwest Central Conference track and field meet, which ended Saturday, by edging Waynesfield-Goshen. The Gophers scored 113 points, 2.5 more than the host Tigers.

ADA — Ada senior Carlee Marshall was named the female athlete of the year at the Northwest Conference track and field meet, which ended Saturday.

DUNKIRK — Hardin Northern scored the first six runs and went on to defeat Lehman Catholic 12-2 in five innings Saturday in Northwest Central Conference softball. The Polar Bears (14-6, 10-2 NWCC) finish the season as NWCC runners-up.

FINDLAY — Riverdale’s girls and boys were fourth in the Blanchard Valley Conference track and field meet Friday at Liberty-Benton. The girls edged Pandora-Gilboa, 62.5-61.5 for fourth place, while the Falcons boys held a 73.5-71.5 advantage over Hopewell-Loudon for fourth.

DOLA — Lehman Catholic defeated Hardin Northern 7-0 on Saturday in Northwest Central Conference baseball.

ADA — Crestview scored 15 runs in the first three innings and went on to defeat Ada 17-5 in five innings Saturday in Northwest Conference baseball.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — It took extra innings to decide a pitcher’s duel between the Riverdale and Allen East softball teams on Friday.

CELINA — An unfortunate bounce hurt Kenton on Friday night in a Division II sectional softball final. With two outs and a runner on first in the bottom of the fifth inning in a tie game, Celina’s Stephanie Walter hit a hard comebacker to Kenton pitcher Sydney Bolling.
