Errors cost Kenton on Tuesday as the Wildcats gave up 11 unearned runs and lost their first baseball game of the season. Bath defeated Kenton 16-2 in five innings in Kenton’s WBL opener.

LIMA — Kenton defeated Bath 4-1 in its Western Buckeye League boys tennis opener Tuesday. The Wildcats (4-0) swept the doubles and won two of the three singles matches.

DOLA — Nicholas Bame set a Hardin Northern school record Tuesday night. He won the 400-meter dash in 51 seconds to help the Polar Bears finish third in a quad track and field meet. The previous record was set in 1988 by Jeff Castle, who finished the race in 51.3 seconds.

BLOOMDALE — Riverdale’s boys edged Elmwood, 83-80, and the Falcons girls were 113.5-53.5 winners in a track and field meet Tuesday at Elmwood. Bowling Green Christian Academy scored eight points in the boys competition.

LIMA — Sydney Bolling pitched a complete-game shutout Tuesday to help Kenton defeat Bath 5-0 in its Western Buckeye League softball opener.

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan defeated Springfield Northwestern by one run for the second straight day in Central Buckeye Conference baseball Tuesday. The Raider used a four-run fourth inning to propel them to a 5-4 victory.

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan scored the first three runs and held on for a 3-2 victory over Springfield Northwestern in Central Buckeye Conference softball Tuesday.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Taylor Farmer drove in Aricka Hill for the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning as Riverdale won its Blanchard Valley Conference softball opener 4-3 on Tuesday.

DUNKIRK — Micheala Curtis pitched a no-hitter Tuesday as Hardin Northern defeated Perry 10-0 in five innings in Northwest Central Conference softball. Curtis walked only one batter and struck out four in five innings.

ADA — Ada remained unbeaten with a 17-0 five-inning softball victory over McComb on Tuesday. The Bulldogs (4-0) scored three runs in the first, eight in the second, one in the third and five in the fourth.
