MOUNT BLANCHARD — The Riverdale baseball team scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning in a walk-off win the first time the Falcons met Liberty-Benton earlier this season.

NEW CARLISLE — Ben Logan’s boys and girls track and field teams both finished first among Mad River Division teams at the Central Buckeye Conference meet, which ended Friday.

DOLA — The Hardin Northern Polar Bears came back from three runs down in the third inning to get a 4-3 Northwest Central Conference baseball win over Temple Christian on Friday.

ELIDA — The Kenton boys track and field team placed eighth at the Western Buckeye League meet, which ended Friday night, with 36 points.

ADA — Ada grabbed its first Northwest Conference baseball victory of the season Friday night, defeating Columbus Grove 7-5.

Entering Thursday night, the Kenton softball team needed to beat Celina twice in a row to spur on a historic season. The Wildcats took care of the first win in dominant fashion, defeating Celina 10-0 in five innings.

ADA — After falling behind early, Ada’s late-inning push against Marion Local fell just short in a 9-6 loss in the Division IV softball playoffs.

LIMA — Kenton junior Brandon Feltner got a measure of revenge Thursday during the first day of a Division II sectional tennis tournament. A week after being outlasted in three sets by Elida’s Andrew Line in the first round of the Western Buckeye League second singles tournament, Feltner beat Line in two tight sets in the first round of sectionals.

WAYNESFIELD — Waynesfield-Goshen leads both the boys and girls side after Day 1 of the Northwest Central Conference track and field meet on Thursday, but the Ridgemont girls are right behind the Tigers. Waynesfield-Goshen leads the girls side with 28.5 points, 4.5 more than the Gophers.
