Kenton took advantage of walks dished out by Ada pitchers Wednesday. The Wildcats drew 10 walks in a 10-0 five-inning nonconference baseball victory over the Bulldogs.

A two-run home run by Jenna Rodenberger in the bottom of the fifth erased a shaky start from the Kenton Wildcats in a 4-3 victory over Ada in nonconference softball Wednesday.

This week hasn’t gotten off to a banner start for the Kenton boys tennis team in Western Buckeye League action. After losing 5-0 to Shawnee on Tuesday, the Wildcats lost 5-0 to Van Wert on Wednesday.

ELIDA — Kenton junior Austin Buroker set a school record Tuesday night in a Western Buckeye League track and field tri-meet hosted by Elida. Buroker won the 110-meter hurdle in a Kenton-record time of 15.1 seconds.

RIDGEWAY — The Ridgemont boys and girls both won their home quad track and field meet Tuesday. The Gopher boys scored 81 points, 14 more than Village Academy.

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan finished second in both the boys and girls portions of the Logan County track and field meet Tuesday.

SIDNEY — Lehman Catholic scored five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to break open a tie game Wednesday and went on to defeat Hardin Northern 9-2 in Northwest Central Conference baseball.

VAN WERT — Lincolnview scored nine runs in the bottom of the first inning and went on to defeat Upper Scioto Valley 15-5 in five innings in nonconference baseball action Wednesday.

SIDNEY — Hardin Northern scored the first nine runs and held on to defeat Lehman Catholic 15-8 in Northwest Central Conference softball Wednesday.

NORTH BALTIMORE — Riverdale softball was in position to get a key Blanchard Valley Conference victory that would have kept it atop the league standings. Then the sixth inning happened.
