ADA — Ada remained unbeaten in Northwest Conference volleyball with a four-game win Tuesday night, but Bluffton didn’t make it easy on the league-leading Bulldogs. Ada (18-2, 6-0 NWC) defeated Bluffton 25-19, 25-22, 17-25, 25-22.

Kenton Athletic Director Mike Leddy is working to add a bowling team to the Wildcats’ athletic offerings for this winter.

VAN BUREN — Riverdale had control and a chance to inch closer to rival Van Buren in the league standings, but poor communication on a lazy ball in the box changed the tune of Tuesday’s match between the top two teams in the North Central Ohio Soccer Association.

SPRINGFIELD — Ben Logan went on the road Tuesday night and lost in four sets to Kenton Ridge in volleyball action. The Cougars won 25-21, 25-21, 22-25, 25-16.

ADA — Ohio Northern University will formally dedicate the newly renovated track and field and soccer complex as “Kerscher Stadium” during a ceremony prior to the ONU women’s soccer game against Capital University on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 2:15 p.m.

ADA — Ada scored in the second half to earn a 1-1 draw with Lincolnview in girls soccer Monday. “I thought we played well,” Ada coach Jeff Hunt said.

Kenton senior Claire Oates has made a habit of reaching the girls tennis district tournament. She’ll play in the district tournament at Bowling Green for the fourth straight year Wednesday.

WAYNESFIELD — Kenton seemed to be in trouble Monday night in nonconference volleyball action against Waynesfield-Goshen. The Tigers won two of the first three games and led 24-19 in Game 4, one point away from the victory.

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan ended its eight-game losing streak Monday night with a come-from-behind 3-2 victory over Graham in Central Buckeye Conference boys soccer. The Raiders (4-9, 1-7 CBC) gave up two goals in the first 20 minutes, but fought back on senior night.

ST. PARIS — Ben Logan defeated Graham 2-0 on Monday night in Central Buckeye Conference girls soccer. It was the first conference win of the season for the Raiders (4-8-2, 1-6-2 CBC).
