Taylor had plenty to be happy about as the Falcons outscored the Wildcats by seven points over the final 6:15 to grab a 59-50 win.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Grace Thien beat the buzzer and Fort Recovery beat Riverdale, 48-46, in a non-conference girls basketball game Saturday.

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan outscored Springfield Shawnee by 10 points in the second half Saturday to earn a 45-41 girls basketball victory.

RAWSON — Upper Scioto Valley dominated Cory-Rawson in nonconference girls basketball Saturday. The Rams scored 26 points in the first quarter and held the Hornets to 16 points for the game. USV won 64-16.

McGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley held on for a 57-55 victory over Allen East on Saturday in nonconference boys basketball.

MOUNT VICTORY — Botkins edged Ridgemont 59-54 in nonconference boys basketball Saturday. Botkins led 11-10 after the first quarter, 22-20 at halftime and 40-36 after three quarters.

BASCOM — Gauge Sadler hit five 3-pointers and scored 23 points to lead Hopewell-Loudon to a 49-38 victory against Riverdale in both teams’ Blanchard Valley Conference opener Friday night.

WAYNESFIELD — Ridgemont dominated the second half on its way to a 71-57 victory over Waynesfield-Goshen on Friday in Northwest Central Conference boys basketball.

ENON — Ben Logan outscored Greenon by seven points in the second half Friday night, but it wasn’t enough as the Raiders fell 49-48 in Central Buckeye Conference boys basketball.
