Kenton was on the verge of picking up its first volleyball win of the season Tuesday night, but Ridgemont wasn’t going to make it easy on the Wildcats. Kenton denied Ridgemont a game point and scored three points in a row to finish off the sweep 25-12, 25-19, 26-24 and grab its first win of the season.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Upper Scioto Valley won all the odd sets to defeat Riverdale 25-22, 17-25, 25-21, 20-25, 15-11 in nonconference volleyball Tuesday. Callie Daniels knocked down 24 kills for the Rams and Crystal Brown added 17.

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan continued its strong play in Central Buckeye Conference volleyball with a five-game victory over Greenon on Tuesday. The Raiders (9-8, 5-1 CBC) won 25-17, 19-25, 25-15, 23-25, 15-13.

FORT JENNINGS — Joe Lauck scored, and Jackson Hankins and Coltyn Miller combined for a shutout in goal as Riverdale took a 1-0 victory Tuesday at Fort Jennings.
