WILMINGTON — Senior Justin Magazine became the 10th player in Ohio Northern history to rush for 1,000 yards in a season as ONU posted a 55-21 victory at Wilmington on Saturday.

DeGRAFF — Ada seemed to be figuring out Riverside's vaunted rushing attack. After allowing 132 rushing yards in the first quarter, the Bulldogs held Riverside to 49 rushing yards for the next quarter and a half.

Kenton is seeking someone to be the public address announcer for girls basketball this season. The position pays a small amount per game and athletic director Mike Leddy is looking for someone to consistently announce the girls basketball junior varsity and varsity contests. Ridgemont senior Devin Mouser was named to the second team all-Northwest District golf team for Division III. Gopher teammate Cole Weyant received honorable mention accolades. Mouser was also named to the all-Northwest District Golf Tournament first team for Division III.  

ADA — When Ada takes the field Friday night for its Division VII football postseason game against Riverside, one of the biggest challenges the Bulldogs face will likely come in the form of 5-foot, 11-inch, 205-pound Pirate senior Connor Cotterman.

DELPHOS — Ada had five players named to the all-Northwest Conference football first team. Leading the way for the Bulldogs was senior Blake Ansley, who was a first-team selection as both a receiver and a linebacker.

ADA — There were times this season that the future didn’t look great for the Ada football team. The Bulldogs dropped to 2-2 with a loss at Spencerville and lost starting quarterback Seth Conley to injury. “We had to fight through adversity with the injuries we’ve faced,” Ada coach Bob Olwin said.
