LIMA — Hardin Northern overcame a slow start to defeat Lima Perry in four games Thursday in Northwest Central Conference volleyball. The Polar Bears (14-6, 5-1 NWCC) won 18-25, 25-22, 25-12, 25-23.

Riverdale defeats Wapakoneta

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale’s Brooke McKamey scored 25 seconds before halftime and it held to give the Falcons a 1-0 nonconference girls soccer victory Thursday night against Wapakoneta.

Ada girls get 1st soccer win

CONVOY — Makayla Callahan scored a hat trick Thursday to lead Ada to its first girls soccer win of the season. The Bulldogs (1-10-2, 1-3-1 Northwest Conference) defeated Crestview 7-1.

Raiders fall in resumption of game

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan couldn’t overcome a deficit Thursday as it lost 4-2 to Tecumseh in Central Buckeye Conference soccer. The game was suspended in August with Tecumseh leading 2-0 after 30 minutes of play.

Oates qualifies for state tennis

BOWLING GREEN — Kenton senior Claire Oates will be a making a return trip to the girls tennis state tournament. Oates won both her matches Thursday at the district tournament in lopsided fashion to advance to Saturday’s district semifinals and clinch a berth in the state tournament.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale edged Van Buren in a close third set to complete a straight-set victory in a Blanchard Valley Conference volleyball match Wednesday, 25-20, 25-7, 27-25. Offensively, Carrol Pauley led the Falcons (8-11, 5-5 BVC) with 10 kills and three aces. Araeha Dodge had four kills and served three aces.

Season ends for BL’s Fultz

MIAMISBURG — The season ended Wednesday for Ben Logan girls golfer Morgan Fultz at the Division II district tournament at PipeStone Golf Course. Fultz, a senior, shot 91 to tie for 18th overall.

FINDLAY — Liberty-Benton defeated Ada 9-0 in girls soccer action Wednesday. Liberty-Benton scored four goals in the first half and five in the second half. Ada put three shots on goal. Rielyn Castle made 22 saves for the Bulldogs. Ada travels to Crestview tonight.
