Neither Ada coach Melissa Gossard nor Kenton coach Morgan Rogers were thrilled with the way their teams played Monday night in a nonconference volleyball match. The good news for Gossard and the Bulldogs, though, was they won 25-12, 25-11, 25-13 to move to 16-1 on the season.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale lost a Blanchard Valley Conference volleyball match to McComb, the conference frontrunner, in three sets Monday, 25-17, 25-14, 25-13. Carrol Pauley led the way for the Falcons offense with five kills and two aces. She also was 22-of-23 serve receiving with 11 digs.

Ridgemont senior Devin Mouser was named the Northwest Central Conference Player of the Year for the third time Monday when the all-conference teams were announced. Upper Scioto Valley’s Brady Hipsher was also named to the first team.

ADA — In its second-to-last girls tennis match of the regular season, Ada defeated Lima Senior 4-1 on Monday. The Bulldogs (15-6) got dominant wins at first and second singles.
