Wildcats get 1st WBL victory of year

VAN WERT — Kenton picked up its first Western Buckeye League boys soccer win of the season Monday, topping Van Wert 2-0. Luis Villa opened the scoring with seven minutes left in the half when he converted off an assist from Dustin Edler.

Ada tennis sweeps Bath

LIMA — Ada swept Bath in girls tennis Monday behind a dominant performance from Mackenzie Wills at first singles. Wills defeated Kylee Morris 6-0, 6-0.

Bulldog soccer topped

ADA — Delphos Jefferson scored four goals in each half Monday to defeat Ada 8-0 in girls soccer. The Bulldogs (0-5-1) took four shots on goal, but were unable to put one in the back of the net.

Falcons sweep Arcadia volleyball

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Carrol Pauley had nine kills and five aces to lead Riverdale to a 26-24, 25-20, 25-18 victory against Arcadia in a Blanchard Valley Conference volleyball match Monday. Pauley had no errors in 13 service attempts and was 16-of-18 hitting.

Raiders fall at home

BELLEFONTAINE — Aaron Pennington had a lot of success with long throw-ins for the Ben Logan boys soccer team Monday night. Unfortunately for the Raiders (3-6, 0-4 Central Buckeye Conference) that wasn’t enough as they lost 6-3 to Bellefontaine in CBC play.

Falcons blow out Mohawk, 7-1

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale gave up an early goal to Mohawk in girls soccer action Monday, but after that it was all Falcons. Mohawk scored about five minutes into the game to take an early lead and then Riverdale scored seven times in a row for a 7-1 victory.

Morris leads KHS girls cross country

OTTAWA — The Kenton girls cross country team placed seventh out of 13 teams Saturday at the Ottawa-Glandorf Invitational. Carrie Morris led the way for the Wildcats, placing 26th out of 127 runners.
