KHS grad makes debut

MONTREAT, N.C. — The University of Rio Grande volleyball team rallied from two sets down to defeat Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference rival Asbury and cap a perfect season-opening day at Friday's Volley in the Mountains Tournament hosted by Montreat College.

Kenton golf edges Redskins

WAPAKONETA — Kenton beat Wapakoneta by five strokes Thursday at the Wapakoneta Country Club to move to 2-0 in Western Buckeye League golf. The Wildcats shot 171, led by a round of 39 from medalist Britton Hensel.

Mouser leads Gophers to win

Devin Mouser shot 35 to lead the Ridgemont golf team to a victory over Arcadia on Thursday at Memorial Park Golf Course. Mouser recorded three birdies and four pars to earn medalist honors by 10 strokes.

Clark clinches Bassmasters title

Top haul

The Trophy Bassmasters competed in a very tough club tournament on Delaware Reservoir recently with catch rates extremely low. The seven anglers only managed 16 keeper bass for a total weight of 23.97 pounds.

Ada girls blow by Lima Sr.

LIMA — Ada only lost two games Wednesday as it cruised to a 5-0 victory over Lima Senior in girls tennis action. The Bulldogs (8-2) got 6-0, 6-0 wins in singles play from Mackenzie Wills – at No. 1 over Kasidy Moneer, and Meredith Marshall – at No. 2 over Reghan Winkler.
