The first farm Indians defeated the Dodgers 12-9 on Wednesday. Dodger hitters were Kade Smith with a triple, double and single, and Carter Heydinger, Colton Rigsby, Kolton Baker and Jerin Baker with singles.

Clark wins 2nd straight event

The Trophy Bassmasters held its third outing of the young season on Grand Lake St. Marys. It was obviously a popular destination as there were boats all over the lake competing in several other tournaments at the same time as Trophy’s derby.

District Shoot-Out

Kenton Elks Lodge 157 was well represented by eight local young people in the Ohio Elks Northwest District Soccer Shoot-Out, held in Findlay on June 6.

Holbrook gets pair of runner-up finishes

COLUMBUS — Brittany Holbrook didn’t end up quite where she wanted to on the podium at the Division III state track and field meet in Columbus on Saturday. Nevertheless, the Ram senior was on the podium and was quite content after placing second in both the 100- and 200-meter dash finals.
