ST. MARYS — Kenton took a hard loss on the road in Western Buckeye League girls soccer Monday night. St. Marys defeated the Wildcats 5-0. “We never really got going,” Kenton assistant coach Ryan Miller said.

SIDNEY — Hardin Northern was swept by Lehman Catholic in Northwest Central Conference volleyball Monday. The Cavaliers won 25-6, 25-11, 25-23.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale was without two starters Saturday as it tried to pick up its first ever win against Ben Logan in girls soccer. So Falcons coach Andrew Snook went with a formation that featured six midfield players. The strategy worked as Riverdale topped the Raiders 4-0.

Kenton Little League will be holding its annual executive board officer election meeting Thursday, Sept. 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the Kenton High School library. Anyone who has officially volunteered with Kenton Little League is eligible to run for a board position. This meeting is open to the public.

SPRINGFIELD — Ben Logan finished 13th out of 21 teams Saturday at the David Christoff Memorial Golf Tournament held at Reid Park. The Raiders shot a team score of 375. Shawnee won with a 328. Nine of the 21 teams shot between 365 and 390.

KALIDA — Hardin Northern went 1-2 Saturday at the Kalida Invitational volleyball tournament. The Polar Bears opened the day with a dominant 25-19, 25-8 victory over Spencerville.

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan scored an early goal Saturday, but couldn’t hold on against River Valley in nonconference boys soccer. River Valley (2-2-2) topped the Raiders, 2-1.

ARCHBOLD — Archbold scored a goal in each half to defeat Riverdale 2-0 on Saturday in nonconference boys soccer action.

The Ben Logan eighth grade volleyball team won its first match Saturday as it split a tri-match with Piqua and Waynesfield-Goshen.
