DAYTON — Stebbins jumped on top of Ben Logan early and cruised to a 64-36 boys basketball victory over the Raiders in a Central Buckeye Conference cross divisional matchup on Tuesday night.

CALEDONIA — River Valley broke open a tie game by outscoring Kenton by seven points in the fourth quarter on the way to a 56-49 victory over the visiting Wildcats in a nonleague girls basketball game on Tuesday night.

LIMA — Hardin Northern outscored Perry by two points in the final eight minutes to edge the Commodores 30-28 in a Northwest Central Conference girls basketball contest on Monday night.

BLUFFTON — Bluffton University’s Sarah Hunter collected her second Indoor Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week award of the season following a superb performance at the Joe Banks Invite on Saturday, Feb. 7.

TIPP CITY — The Ben Logan Middle School basketball teams were knocked out of the Central Buckeye Conference tournament on Monday night.

OTTAWA — No one in the Western Buckeye League at 182 pounds is as good a wrestler as Kenton senior Dylan Castle. At least that’s what can be taken from the results Saturday where Castle won the title at 182 pounds during the WBL tournament to become Kenton’s only individual champion.
