HARROD — Arlington defeated Upper Scioto Valley 161-202 on Monday in a golf match at Colonial Hills. Arlington shot the three lowest scores and five of the six lowest on the way to the win.

DEFIANCE — Kenton swept Defiance in Western Buckeye League girls tennis Monday. “We are 3-2 in the WBL now with two more league matches this week,” Kenton coach Keith Kissling said after the 5-0 win.

Ben Logan defeated Southeastern 8-0 in boys soccer action Monday night. The Raiders (3-1) got a pair of goals and a pair of assists from Aaron Pennington in the road win.

DOLA — Hardin Northern swept North Baltimore in volleyball action Monday behind a balanced offensive attack. The Polar Bears got nine kills each from Holly Wilson, Shelby Alloway and Cassidy Deckling in their 25-22, 25-19, 25-20 victory.

CELINA — Kenton finished 16th out of 20 boys cross country teams Saturday at the Celina Invitational held at the Lake Campus of Wright State University.

The Upper Sandusky girls soccer team used a late goal to defeat Kenton, 2-1, after holding off a surge by the Wildcats in the closing minutes. The Rams (3-0) got the winning goal in the 75th minute from Brooke Miller.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale was not very sharp Saturday in its girls soccer opener. That didn’t have much impact on the outcome – a 4-0 win over Continental – but Falcons coach Andrew Snook said his team needs to improve.

BEALLSVILLE — It wasn’t the opponent Hardin Northern expected to open its season against and the bus ride was much longer than the Polar Bears wanted, but the result was a good one. Hardin Northern cruised to a 54-8 victory over Beallsville on Saturday in its football season opener.

UPPER SANDUSKY — Landon Bartlett scored on a penalty kick with 3:28 remaining to help Kenton complete a comeback from two goals down in a 3-2 boys soccer victory against Upper Sandusky on Saturday. Max Pirch scored the tying goal only two minutes earlier on an assist by Luis Villa.
