McGUFFEY — A bad start hurt the Upper Scioto Valley softball team on Tuesday. The Rams allowed six unearned runs in the first inning as they fell to Waynesfield-Goshen 8-4 in Northwest Central Conference action.

Late Kenton rally falls short vs. Bath

LIMA — A late inning Kenton rally fell short as Bath defeated the Wildcats 5-4 in Western Buckeye League baseball action on Tuesday afternoon. Trailing 5-0 after a four-run Bath fifth inning, the visiting Wildcats plated two runs in both the sixth and seventh innings before Bath was able to escape with the victory.
