LIMA — Hardin Northern closed its first season in the Northwest Central Conference with a bang. The Polar Bears blasted Perry 17-0 on Thursday to finish an undefeated 12-0 league softball season.

DAYTON — Ben Logan’s bats came alive and Kate Campbell hurled a one-hitter as the Raiders crushed Stebbins 13-0 in a Central Buckeye Conference softball game on Thursday.

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan scored multiple runs in every inning it batted and Zane Collins struck out 10 Stebbins batters as the Raiders cruised to a 14-0 five-inning Central Buckeye Conference baseball victory on Thursday afternoon.

VAN BUREN — Kenton scored two runs in the first inning, but was only able to get one more base runner across home plate the rest of the game as the Wildcats fell to Van Buren 9-3 in a non-league baseball game on Thursday.

GREENCASTLE, Ind. — Ohio Northern rallied from deficits in both singles and doubles play and battled to a 5-3 victory over Coe (Iowa) in the first round of the NCAA III Women's Tennis Tournament Thursday afternoon at DePauw University's Blackstock Courts.

DELPHOS — Ada scored early and often Thursday night in a 12-4 Northwest Conference softball victory over Delphos Jefferson. The Bulldogs plated three runs in the first and three in the third to go ahead 6-1. Ada added six more runs over the final four innings, scoring in every inning.

LIMA — Perry scored 12 runs in both of the first two innings on the way to a 27-1 win over Hardin Northern in a Northwest Central Conference baseball game on Thursday . Three Perry pitchers combined to allow just one Hardin Northern hit.

DELPHOS — Delphos Jefferson had a pair of five-run innings and limited Ada to two hits on the way to a 14-2 Northwest Conference baseball victory on Thursday.

Ray Marshall always had a passion for building things and for motor sports. The 1958 Hardin Northern graduate’s love of both would come to change the face of open-wheel racing forever.

In its final regular-season contest, Kenton squared off against cross-country rival Ada for the first time in more than a decade Wednesday.
