McGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley and Perry split a baseball twinbill Saturday, with the Rams winning the opener 13-10, before falling to the Commodores in the second game 10-7.

Raider girls place 4th at invite

WAYNESFIELD — The Ben Logan girls track team placed fourth out of 12 teams Friday night in the Waynesfield Tiger Invitational. The Raiders scored 86 points. Bellefontaine won the meet with 131 points.

KHS boys 7th, girls 8th at meet

UPPER SANDUSKY — Kenton’s boys track team placed seventh and the girls were eighth Saturday at the eight-team Gerald Swankhouse Memorial Invite in Upper Sandusky. The Wildcat boys scored 32 points.

Dance Fuzion performs well

COLUMBUS — The Dance Fuzion Studio Team from Kenton and Bellefontaine recently competed in the Showstopper Dance Competition at Aladdin Shrine Center in Columbus.

The Trophy Bassmasters got the 2015 fishing season started last weekend under very pleasant conditions. West Harbor was the launch point with all of Lake Erie and the bays and harbors available for competition. Thirteen anglers made the trip for the 8.5-hour tournament day.
