BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan softball team split a doubleheader with West Liberty-Salem on Saturday, taking the first game 20-5 before dropping the nightcap 5-2.

McGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley and Perry split a baseball twinbill Saturday, with the Rams winning the opener 13-10, before falling to the Commodores in the second game 10-7.

WAYNESFIELD — The Ben Logan girls track team placed fourth out of 12 teams Friday night in the Waynesfield Tiger Invitational. The Raiders scored 86 points. Bellefontaine won the meet with 131 points.

UPPER SANDUSKY — Kenton’s boys track team placed seventh and the girls were eighth Saturday at the eight-team Gerald Swankhouse Memorial Invite in Upper Sandusky. The Wildcat boys scored 32 points.

One bad inning cost the Kenton softball team dearly Friday night. Shawnee scored all seven of its runs in the top of the fourth inning in a 7-0 Western Buckeye League victory over the Wildcats.

DOLA — Addy Bame was dominant Friday and the Hardin Northern offense provided enough support as the Polar Bears edged Ridgemont 2-0 in Northwest Central Conference softball.

COLUMBUS — The Dance Fuzion Studio Team from Kenton and Bellefontaine recently competed in the Showstopper Dance Competition at Aladdin Shrine Center in Columbus.

DUNKIRK — Errors cost the Hardin Northern baseball team Friday in a 10-0 Northwest Central Conference loss to Ridgemont.

The Trophy Bassmasters got the 2015 fishing season started last weekend under very pleasant conditions. West Harbor was the launch point with all of Lake Erie and the bays and harbors available for competition. Thirteen anglers made the trip for the 8.5-hour tournament day.
