Kuhlman finds fit on field, in classroom

While playing football at the collegiate level has been a goal for Kenton High School senior Seth Kuhlman, his decision to attend the University of Findlay was based just as much on his career goals. Kuhlman, who signed a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday to continue his football career and education as an Oiler, said a large part of his decision was based on the education he can receive at Findlay.

Four Wildcats heading to University of Ashland

Austin Phillips, Trevor Downing, Travis Downing and Tristan Reichelderfer have struck fear in the hearts of opponents as leaders of the Kenton football program over the past four years. The Wildcat defensive quartet hopes they can have a similar role in the success of the football program at the University of Ashland over the next four years.

Burd to play softball at collegiate level

laying softball at the collegiate level is something that Kaylee Burd has thought about for several years. On Wednesday that dream became a reality as the four-year Wildcat starting pitcher signed a letter of intent to continue her athletic career and education at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) in Cleveland.

Mullins helps USV defeat Ada, 56-36

McGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley senior Bree Mullins was the difference Tuesday night. At least that’s what Ada coach Bill Taflinger said after his team was topped by the Rams 56-36 in non-conference girls basketball action.

Kenton splits swimming meet

The Kenton girls swimming team continued its winning ways Tuesday night in its final home meet of the season. The Wildcats defeated Upper Sandusky 100-70. Kenton also honored the one senior on its team, Morgan Bloom, during the meet.
