MOUNT BLANCHARD — Trailing Shawnee by 10 points at halftime, Kenton used solid play at the defensive end to get back into the game against the Indians on Wednesday night. However when Kenton got within three points with five minutes left in the game, the Indians’ JaQuan Tucker and Griffin Hites made sure the Wildcats would get no closer.

COLDWATER — Ada didn’t have its best performance of the season Wednesday night, but the Bulldogs played well enough to win and advance. Ada topped Arlington 42-38 in a boys basketball sectional semifinal to advance to Friday’s sectional final against New Bremen.

At the Division II district wrestling tournament at Mansfield Sr. High School this weekend, there will be more Kenton wrestlers competing than normal. The Wildcats have three district qualifiers and two alternates ready for the tournament to begin Friday.
