Late rally lifts Harding to win over Lady Wildcats

MARION — Harding plated three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to rally for an 11-10 win over Kenton in a non-league softball game on Thursday afternoon. The Wildcats, who fall to 0-3 on the season, plated four runs in the top of the first inning before the Presidents rallied with four of their own in the bottom half of the frame to tie the game.

Harding shuts out KHS

MARION — Harding broke open a close game with two runs in both the fifth and sixth innings on the way to a 5-0 win over Kenton in a non-league baseball game on Thursday afternoon. The Wildcats, who fall to 1-2 on the season, outhit the hosts 7-3 in the game but were unable to plate a run.

HN softball nips Arcadia

ARCADIA — Hardin Northern scored all of its runs in the final three innings and then held off a late Arcadia rally for a 4-3 softball victory on Thursday. With the score tied 1-1, the Polar Bears plated two runs in the top of the sixth inning and one in the seventh before Arcadia scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to get within a run. Zoey Curtis and Gabbi Hackworth both had two hits with an RBI to lead the Polar Bear offense.

Bulldogs hold off C-R

ADA — Ada scored the winning run in the bottom of the fifth inning for a 2-1 victory over Cory-Rawson in non-league baseball action on Thursday. Brandon Hull had an RBI single and Connor Frazier and Zac Swaney added doubles to lead the Bulldogs at the plate.

Bluffton cruises past Rams, 12-1

McGUFFEY — Bluffton scored multiple runs in three of the four innings it batted, including seven in the fourth inning, on the way to a 12-1 victory over Upper Scioto Valley in a non-league baseball game on Wednesday. After USV scored a run in the top of the first, Bluffton took the lead with two runs in the bottom half of the frame before adding three in the second frame and putting the game away with the seven-run fourth.
