MOUNT BLANCHARD — Hannah Breidenbach netted the winning goal just before the midway point of the second half as the Riverdale girls soccer team defeated Continental 2-1 on Saturday afternoon. Callie Sudlow had the assist on Breidenbach’s goal which came at the 23:07 mark of the second half.

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan and Fairbanks tied 1-1 in a boys soccer matchup on Saturday afternoon. Trailing 1-0 at halftime, the Raiders tied the score when Caleb Epp scored off a pass from Gaven Jones in the first minute of the second half.

ADA — Jacob Poling had two goals and Isaac Williams added a goal and an assist to lead Ada to a 4-1 boys soccer victory over Spencerville on Saturday. Skylar Williams added a goal and Isaac Spar had an assist in the win.

McGUFFEY — Hardin Northern earned its first win of the season Thursday night, putting away inter-county foe Upper Scioto Valley in straight sets, 25-13, 25-16 and 25-18. The Northwest Central Conference match victory gives the Polar Bears a mark of 1-1 overall on the season, 1-0 in the conference. The Rams fall to 0-3, 0-2 NWCC.

Sidney Plott, Hannah Holland and Abi Temple netted three goals each as the Kenton girls soccer team ripped Columbus Grove 13-0 in a non-league soccer matchup Thursday night. The Wildcats, who improve to 3-0 on the season, also received goals from Keelee Barrett, Lauren Bartlett, Ali Harpel and Jazmine Mendez.

It was a rough start to the season for the Kenton volleyball team on Thursday night as North Union swept the Wildcats 25-15, 25-16, 25-10 in a non-league matchup. After falling behind 6-0 in game one, the Wildcats rallied to get within 7-4 before North Union regained control, taking leads of 18-10 and 21-13 before putting the game on its side of the scoreboard.

ADA — Coldwater defeated Ada 25-10, 26-24, 25-15 in a non-league volleyball matchup on Thursday night. Megan Light led the Bulldogs attack with nine kills and 2 blocks. She also added seven digs defensively.

LIMA — Bath defeated the Kenton girls tennis team 4-1 in a Western Buckeye league opening match on Thursday. Playing at No. 3 singles, Grace Collins was the only Kenton Wildcat to win a match on the afternoon as she bested Bath’s Lexi White 6-2, 6-0.
