Ben Logan golfers 3rd in own invitational

BELLEFONTAINE — The host Ben Logan boys golf team started its season with a third place finish in the annual Raider Invitational on Monday. For the Raiders, Ethan Ricketts led the way with a 78 finishing fourth overall. Jacob Mitchell shot an 87, Trey Allen a 90, Alex Naragon a 92, Bryce Loomis a 97 and Carston McCain a 107.

The Kenton cross country team had its first ever alumni race on Saturday with 44 past and current members of the team turning out to run a 5K. Caleb Burkey was the top male finisher, while the top female runner was Kierra Krohmer.

The youth league at Memorial Park Golf Course wrapped up on Thursday with the Drive, Putt, and Chip competition. The winners were as follows: 10 years old and under - drive, Mason Reffner; chip, Abbey Schlegel and Hudson Latimore; putt, Mason Reffner; 11 years and older - drive, Quinn Reffner; chip, Klayton Schlegel; putt, Breann Vermillion

Kenton X-country team to hold alumni race

The Kenton High School Cross Country team will be hosting an alumni race at 8 a.m. Saturday at Kenton High School. The race is free to all current Kenton cross country runners and any alumni that participated in the cross country program in the past (Donations will be accepted).

KMS volleyball tryouts begin

Kenton Middle School volleyball tryouts will be from from 5:30- 7:30 p.m. today and Friday and 3 from 8-9:30 a.m. Saturday at KMS. Any student-athlete wishing to try out must have a current physical. Physical forms may be turned in the first day of tryouts.
