DOLA — Riverside defeated Hardin Northern 25-21, 25-10, 25-21 in a Northwest Central Conference volleyball match on Thursday night. Alex Jackson had 8 kills, 5 blocks, 3 digs and an ace to lead the Polar Bears. Megan Miller chipped in with 5 kills, 4 digs, a block and an ace and Quinn Stewart-Evans had 3 kills, 2 digs, 6 assists and a block.

HN hosts Lehman in key NWCC matchup

The Riverdale football team looks to get back above .500 when it meets Liberty-Benton, one of three remaining unbeaten teams in the Blanchard Valley Conference, on Friday night. The Falcons (3-3) suffered a heartbreaking setback last Friday against Arcadia as they rallied from a two-touchdown deficit in the fourth quarter to tie the game before Arcadia kicked a late field goal to secure a 38-35 win.

Lady Falcons top VB

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Callie Sudlow had two goals and Hanna Breidenbach added a pair of assists as Riverdale topped Van Buren 3-0 in a North Central Ohio Soccer Association matchup on Wednesday. The Falcons, who led 2-0 at halftime, also received a goal from Haley Frey.

Bulldogs sweep Perry

LIMA — Ada swept Perry in three sets 25-13, 25-19, 25-12 in a non-league volleyball match on Wednesday. Megan Light had a big game at the net for the Bulldogs, accumulating 14 kills and 5 blocks.

Little Pumpkin Fest 5K set

The Hardin County Family YMCA will be holding two fun runs for runners/walkers of all ages as part of Saturday’s Little Pumpkin Fest in Kenton. The runs will have a fall/Halloween themes to both runs and will be fun for all who participate.
