Sealed bids for the Benjamin Logan Local School District Sewer System Rehabilitation Project will be received by the school district until 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at the Benjamin Logan Logan School District Administration Office, 4740 County Road 26, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311. The bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud at the Administration Office. All sealed bids should be clearly marked Benjamin Logan Sewer System Rehabilitation Project on the outside of the envelope. Any bids received after the time designated in this advertisement will be returned unopened.
A pre-bid meeting will be held at 11:00 AM on March 17, 2026 at Benjamin Logan Schools Administration Office 4740 County Road 26, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged, but not mandatory.
Project Description: the project involves the full rehabilitation of an existing wastewater treatment facility along with electrical and gravity pipe point repairs.
Project Manuals and Construction Plans are available for purchase from AA Blueprint (www.aablueprint.com) for the non-refundable payment of $60.00 for each contract set thereof. Bidders shall specify what project they are purchasing documents for. Copies will be mailed to prospective bidders upon receipt of payment to AA Blueprint of $60.00 plus postage and handling fee.
Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and scope. Each bidder is required to furnish with his proposal a Bid Guarantee and Contract Bond in accordance to Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. The bid bond may be in the form of a bid guarantee, letter of credit for 100% of the project, or certified check from a solvent bank or cash in the amount of 10% of the total bid submitted. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide such surety. Checks should be made payable to the Benjamin Logan Local School District. Bid guarantees/bid bonds will be returned to all unsuccessful bidders. The owner intends and requires that this project be substantially completed no later than September 30, 2026, with a final completion date of October 30, 2026.
All questions concerning the project should be directed to Damon Fulk at Environmental Design Group, dfulk@envdesigngroup.com and shall be submitted in writing no later than March 20, 2026 by 8:00 AM.
Engineers Opinion of Probable Construction Cost for the base bid is $527,650.00.
All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of the project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governors executive Order of 1972, and Governors Executive Order 84-9 shall be required.
Bidders are required to use the bidding forms included in the contract/bidding specifications. The Benjamin Logan Local School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities and the right to disregard all non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional bids. Also, the School District reserves the right to reject the bids of any bidder if the School District believes it would not be in the best interest of the School District to make the award of that bid; whether because the bid is not responsive or the bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standards or criteria established by the School District.
No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the bid opening. BD-2
Bids may be forwarded by registered mail addressed to the Benjamin Logan Schools 4740 County Road 26, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311, or hand-carried and deposited at the Benjamin Logan Schools Administration Office, prior to the time scheduled for opening of bids.
