ORDINANCE NO. 68-14
Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Article V., Section 5.16, of the Municipal Charter of the City of Upper Sandusky, an Ordinance entitled, AN ORDINANCE DECLARING CERTAIN MUNICIPAL EQUIPMENT NO LONGER NEEDED FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES AND AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF A 2019 FREIGHTLINER M2 GARBAGE TRUCK., was passed by the Council of the City of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, on the 6th day of April, 2026. The purpose of this Ordinance is to authorize the sale of the Citys 2019 Freightliner M2 chassis with a New Way 25-yard rear load refuse body no longer needed and currently not in use.

Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Article V., Section 5.16, of the Municipal Charter of the City of Upper Sandusky, an Ordinance entitled, AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A LABOR AGREEMENT WITH THE UTILITY WORKERS UNION OF AMERICA, LOCAL #G555, FOR THE PERIOD ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2028, COVERING ELIGIBLE FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES IN THE STREET, SANITATION, WATER PLANT AND WASTEWATER PLANT DEPARTMENTS FOR THE CITY, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SUCH AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY, AND DECLARING THIS ACT AN EMERGENCY., was passed by the Council of the City of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, on the 6th day of April, 2026. The purpose of this Ordinance is to approve a new Labor Contract between the City and its full-time employees in the Street, Sanitation, Water Plant, and Wastewater Plant departments in the titles of: Laborer, Operator I, Operator II, Wastewater Collection Operator I and Operator II; for the period of time through December 31, 2028.

The purpose of this Ordinance is to approve the Citys pick up of the statutorily required contribution to the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS) for the Mayor and the Municipal Court Judge.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING #1
Wyandot County intends to apply to the Ohio Development Services Agency for program year 2026 under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), federally funded programs administered by the Office of Community Enhancements (OCE). CDBG and HOME programs can fund a broad range of planning, community improvement and housing related activities that must be designed to primarily benefit low-moderate income persons, aid in the prevention of elimination of slum and blight or meet an urgent need within the community. It is estimated, the County may be eligible for the following PY2026 Community Development programs, providing the County meets the applicable requirements:
•Community Housing Impact and Preservation Program (CHIP): biennial for approximately $400,000 alone or for approximately $700,000 in partnership with City of Upper Sandusky designed to improve housing conditions and strengthen neighborhoods.
•Residential Public Infrastructure Program: open cycle up to $750,000 - designed to create safe and reliable drinking water and properly disposed of sanitary waste.
•Critical Infrastructure Program: open cycle up to $500,000 designed to fund public infrastructure improvements with a significant community impact.
•Economic Development and Public Infrastructure Program: open cycle up to $500,000 grants and loans designed to improve infrastructure directly and primarily related to creating, expanding, or retaining a business in the community.
The first of two public hearings will be held on April 28th 2026, at 2:00 pm. in the Wyandot County Commissioners office, 109 S. Sandusky Ave Room 10, Upper Sandusky, OH 43351. This meeting will provide citizens with pertinent information about all these programs, including an explanation of eligible activities, program requirements and application due dates. Citizens are encouraged to attend to provide input on the Countys programs. Accommodations for disabled or non-English speaking residents will be made available upon advance request, at least one (1) week prior to hearing date, by contacting Wyandot County at 419-294-3836.
