NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING # 2
Program Year 2026 Community Housing Impact & Preservation Program
The Wyandot County Commissioners in partnership with City of Upper Sandusky intend to apply to the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) for funding under the Community Housing Impact & Preservation Program (CHIP), which includes funds from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) programs administered by the State of Ohio and funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and Ohio Housing Trust Funds (OHTF). The partnership is eligible to apply for $700,000 in Program Year 2026 for affordable housing activities.
Wyandot County will request funds for the following activities: HOME funds: Private Owner Rehabilitation $406,000/6 units; CDBG funds: Private Owner Repair $210,000/ 7 units (in conjunction with OHTF); & Fair Housing $2,500. HOME & CDBG funds: Program Administration $84,000. Wyandot Co. will also commit program income funds for related activities.
On April 28, 2026, Wyandot County held the first of two public hearings to inform citizens about the CDBG program, including an explanation of eligible activities and requirements.
A second public hearing will be held on June 2, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Wyandot County Commissioners office, 109 S. Sandusky Ave Room 10, Upper Sandusky, OH 43351 to provide citizens with pertinent information on the County's CHIP application, including an explanation of activities and eligibility. Citizens are encouraged to attend this meeting. and provide their input.

WAY-CH108 Widening &
Resurfacing
Wyandot County, Ohio
Sealed bids will be received by the Wyandot County Commissioners in the Office of the Wyandot County Courthouse, 109 South Sandusky Avenue, Upper Sandusky, OH 43351 until 9:30 A.M. May 28, 2026, at which time they will be opened and publicly read aloud. Bids will be for the widening and asphalt resurfacing of 1.00 Miles of CH108 from SR53 to CH330.
Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guarantee and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 and 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.
Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the Proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity and a complete listing of all subcontractors to be used. All Bidders shall be ODOT Pre-qualified for the required Work Type. The owner intends and requires that all work embodied in this Proposal, together with all additions, be completed by the Contract Completion Date November 13, 2026.
Contract documents, bid sheets, plans and specifications may be obtained at the Wyandot County Engineers Office, 320 N. Warpole St., Upper Sandusky, Ohio on and after October 12, 2026, at no charge.
Bids are to be sealed, marked "WYA-CH108 Widening & Resurfacing and addressed to the Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of Wyandot County, Ohio and delivered to the County Commissioners Office at 109 South Sandusky, Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351.
The Board of County Commissioners, Wyandot County, Ohio reserves the right to reject any or all bids submitted or to waive any irregularities pursuant to Section 9.31 of the Revised Code.
