Hardin Co. MGV to host Evening Garden Affair Posted on May 29, 2025 0 The Hardin County Master Gardener Volunteers are hosting “An Evening Garden Affair” program on Monday, June 23. The event will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Friendship Gardens and Simon Kenton School. The event will kick off with registration, garden tours, and snacks at the Friendship Gardens followed by the speaker at 7 p.m. in the Simon Kenton School gymnasium. The school does not have air conditioning so please dress accordingly. Speaker Jody Rolin will present “Bearded Iris – A New Option”. She will discuss types of irises and their cultural requirements with special attention to natives. Parking will take place at the Friendship Gardens with overflow parking behind the Hardin County Soil and Water Conservation District office located at 950 West Kohler St., Kenton. The building is located immediately to the south of the garden. There will be some event signs to point attendees in the right direction.
