Richard Arnett Posted on January 31, 2019 0 Richard Arnett Age, 79 Harrod Services for Richard Arnett will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1, 2019 at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton by Pastor Kenneth VanHoose. Burial with military rites will follow at Preston Cemetery, Alger. Friends may call two hours prior to the services. He died at 4:35 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019 at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born on Dec. 4, 1939 in Harrod to the late Bob and Nellie (Risner) Arnett. On Aug. 22, 1959 he married Julie Martin and she survives in Harrod. Also surviving are four daughters, Robin (Randy) Cramer of Belle Center, Rhonda (David) Ingram of Howard, Colo., Evonda (Allen) Shirk of Ada and Julie (Kenneth) VanHoose of Urbana; two brothers, Donald (Ethel) Arnett of Alger and Bob K. (Deanna) Arnett of Harrod; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Olladean Arnett and a brother, Elwood Arnett. Richard was employed with Rockwell and Randall Bearing in Lima, but retired from General Dynamics. After retiring he also helped his daughter at the Alger Freeze. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed listening to bluegrass music. Richard truly loved his family, and loved nothing better than to spoil his daughters and grandkids.
