The Hardin County Family YMCA has announced a new partnership with the Kenton Christian and Missionary Alliance Church to be able to bring volleyball to area residents at an open gym twice a month beginning in February.

The open gym volleyball will be held at the church’s Great Room KCMA at 15436 Ohio 309 on the first and third Thursday of every month, beginning on Thursday, Feb. 7 from 7 to 9 p.m.

This open volleyball is available to all persons 16 years and older. Beginners and seasoned players are welcomed.

“We would love for this to grow as a friendly inter-generational volleyball experience for all who come to play,” said Frank Marsico of the YMCA.

The YMCA and Kenton Christian and Missionary Alliance Church would like to promote this event as a great opportunity to enjoy great fellowship while playing volleyball and staying active.

Teams will be randomly chosen at the beginning of play each time and first serve starts at 7 p.m. so please come a few minutes early.

A $1 donation per player is requested.

Those wishing to play do not have to be a member of the Hardin County Family YMCA or Kenton Christian and Missionary Church to participate in this open volleyball gym.

Anyone with questions regarding the open volleyball may contact the YMCA at 419-673-6131.
