Last Sunday during the Invitational Finals saw Scotty Richardson and his wife Briana Richardson win the Championships and became the first married couple to win the tournament the same year.

On the Men’s side seen Scotty had to use up all four games to claim his title. In the first match, No. 5 seed Scotty took advantage of No. 4 seed Damon Hord struggles as he won the game 208-157. He then went on to go against Spencer Anglemyer, who was bowling his first ever Invitational. Scotty started strong by striking five out of the first six frames, and Spencer couldn’t keep up and Scotty prevailed 216-163.

In our semi-final match, going against the No. 2 seed Toby McLane-Clark, Scotty put strikes together five out of the last six frames to push forward with the win 222-188.

In the Championship match against the number one and the defending champ from last year Eric Latimore, Scotty spared in the first frame and then struck the next eight of the nine frames and went on to win his first ever Invitational Championship defeating Eric 252-225.

The Women put on a great show on their Finals.

In the first game of the day saw No. 5 seed Ali Pierson going against No. 4 seed Allissa Bingham and their match was no doubt the best game ever on the women’s side. Allissa started the game off with rolling strikes in the first five frames leaving a ringing ten pin in the sixth and then struck the next four defeating Ali 265-257. Ali spared the first two frames then went on a streak of her own striking seven out og the next eight frames to make it close.

Second game wasn’t as high but was just as exciting as Allissa had to double in the tenth to win but left a solid pocket shot ten pin and came up short against No. 3 seed Jacy Graber 201-197.

In out semi-final match, Jacy had a good solid game but No. 2 seed Brittany Hites, after opening in the first frame, went on and struck the next five frames to put her up but due to an open in the eighth frame put her behind by five pins going into the ninth. Brittany went on to double to give her the narrow victory 219-217.

In the championship match where all eyes were watching as the number one seed Briana Richardson was seeking her second straight title. The game started out slow but in the fourth frame Briana struck five out of the next six frames and watched Brittany starting to struggle later in the game and as she claimed her championship title 217-162.
