Kenton Band Boosters meet

The Kenton Band Boosters met on Monday, Sept. 10, at 6 p.m. in the high school media center. Attendees were Judy Donnal, president; Sarah Zickafoose, vice president; Amy Kohl, secretary; Katie Ketcham, treasurer; Travis Wissman, band director; Tomi Cheney, flag advisor; and parents/volunteers Marge Cannode, Wanda Horner, Teresa Horton, Kathy Forester and Darla Lowe. Donnal called the meeting to order.

Scouts plan Family Fun Day at Camp Berry

FINDLAY — Families of boys and girls in kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to Family Fun Day at Camp Berry on Saturday, Sept. 22 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Families can enjoy hiking, fishing, archery, and arts and crafts; launching model rockets, shooting BB guns; rowing boats; playing carnival games; and climbing a 50-foot tower.

Kenton Garden Club visits Marysville nursery

Kenton Garden Club met Monday, Sept. 17 at the First United Methodist Church parking lot to travel to Marysville for lunch at Bennie’s and a program at the Scheiderer’s Farm Nursery. Eleven members were present. After an enjoyable lunch, the group drove out to the nursery. Candy, the owner, gave us a presentation on preparing the containers.
