Wildcats to put their 7 on 7 skills on display at national level

The prize

Over the past decade or so, the Kenton High School football team has become known for its dominance during summer 7 on 7 passing tournaments, bringing home trophies from different tournaments nationally. This summer, the Wildcats once again get a chance to test their skills against some of the nations’ best high school football programs when they travel to Charlotte, North Carolina, for the 48-team 2017 Powerade 7 on 7 Invitational to be held July 13-15.

Gibson to run track at Wilmington

Miranda Gibson has been an integral part of the Kenton High School track and cross country teams the past four years, including being a member of the regional qualifying 4 by 100 meter relay teams the past two springs. The Kenton senior signed a National Letter of Intent last week to take her talents to and continue her education at Wilmington College in the fall.

Norris feels at home at library and in Kenton

Sam Norris moved to Kenton from Marion in 2009, and for a time, he felt as though he was an outsider. The move came with the job of serving as director of the Mary Lou Johnson-Hardin County District Library. Just prior to moving, he had worked at the Marion Public Library where he was in charge of local history and genealogy, as well as working the reference desk.
