ALGER — Alger First United Methodist Church will hold Vacation Bible School from 6:30-8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. The school includes visits from Noah, Moses, David and Goliath as well as other characters from the Bible.

UPPER SANDUSKY — The Upper Room Church of God, 520 W. Bigelow St., Upper Sandusky, is hosting its Vacation Bible School “Cave Quest” from 6:30-9 p.m. July 25-29.

The annual Cruise-In Concert is set for Saturday, July 16 outside St. John’s Evangelical Church, 211 E. Carrol St., Kenton. The event will feature a day of music and other activities for the family.

A Year of Mercy Celebration at the Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation, Carey, will be on Sunday, July 3. The Most Reverend John Stowe, OFM Conv, Bishop of the Diocese of Lexington, Ky., and the former Rector of the Shrine will preside at the noon Mass.

Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Kenton announces an open house and tour of the newly renovated church as well as the parish gardens, on Sunday, July 10 from noon to 4 p.m. This event is part of the parish celebration of 150 years since the dedication of the church in 1866.

LaRUE — The annual ice cream social, sponsored by the Chancel Choir of the LaRue United Methodist Church, is scheduled to take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 29 in the church fellowship hall at 166 N. High St. Sandwiches, chicken and noodles, side dishes, homemade pies and cakes, beverages and Riverside Ice Cream will be sold.
