DOLA — The Hardin Northern Board of Education will meet in special session at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the school to discuss administrator evaluations. The meeting will be in closed session with no action anticipated, said Superintendent Jeff Price.

An officer responded to Hardin Memorial Hospital in reference to an assault. Officers were dispatched to 633 Decatur St. for a report of harassment.

Wes Goldsmith believes he is doing just what he was created to do: graphic design. Since 2014, Wes has served part-time at the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance and is currently the graphic designer and social media marketing coordinator.

FOREST — The speaker at this year’s Church in the Park service next month during the Tree Town Festival in Forest was named to Major League Baseball’s All-Star team nine times. Darryl Strawberry was a member of the 1986 New York Mets team that won the World Series and was named the National League’s Rookie of the Year in 1983.

A Dunkirk man was placed on community control after pleading guilty to charges in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, Lonnie Ray Slone, 461 S. Walnut St., Dunkirk, admitted to kicking in the door at the home of his ex-wife, also in Dunkirk.
