Kenton Nursing and Rehab enjoyed Church Sunday with Pastor Gary Carter of Living Water Apostolic Church of Kenton. There was music and sermons from Carter and church member Jerry Kirk. Refreshments were provided by the church members.

Valentine’s celebration

Kenton Nursing and Rehab celebrated Valentine’s Day with a party for the residents. “Patchwork Nancy” went room to room, playing her guitar and singing requests. She then sang to residents at the party with love songs of the past.

King and queen

King and queen

Corinthian Rehab crowned Luther Bradley and Ruth Shirk as Valentine’s Day king and queen. A party was held in their honor.

Special luncheon

Residents of Hardin Hills got to enjoy a candlelit luncheon in the activity room prepared by activity staff Libby Mullins and Pat Stinson. Residents had a menu of Steak, with sautéed mushrooms and onions, loaded baked potatoes, green beans, tossed salad and a roll, and dessert was Chocolate silk pie. The Kenton Kroger delivered Valentine balloons to several facilities throughout the area Friday as part of the Heart To Heart program. Kroger customers and employees donated $2.99 to purchase each of the 800 balloons delivered to Hardin Hills, Kenton Nursing and Rehabiliation, the Corinthian, Harco/Simon Kenton and the Council on Aging. Residents of Hardin Hills Health Center had a Mexican Fiesta Day, a decision made at a resident council meeting. They were served a Mexican meal at lunch of burritos and Spanish rice. Hardin Hills resident Marlene Stinson is visited by Tater the Clown (Chaplin Bob Halsey) during a carnival on Saturday. Tater made balloon animals for the residents and plenty of staff.
