ST. PARIS — Ben Logan clinched at least a share of the Central Buckeye Conference’s Mad River Division volleyball title on Tuesday with a four-set 25-22, 25-15, 22-25. 25-19 victory over Graham.

The Kenton boys soccer team took care of business against Ottawa-Glandorf on Monday night. And then the Wildcats thanked Shawnee.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Sydney Leeper had eight kills and two blocks, and Lyndsey Shaw had 16 assists, seven digs and two aces to lead Van Buren to a 25-6, 25-17, 25-18 victory against Riverdale in a Blanchard Valley Conference Volleyball match Monday night.

Gabe Heilman, 14, of rural Kenton, will be headed to Memphis, Tenn., later this month to compete in the IHRA Junior Dragster World Finals. Heilman, an eighth grader at Kenton Middle School, will be competing against 99 other junior dragster racers for a chance at the world championship.

BLUFFTON — Kenton received one win in both singles and doubles play as Bluffton edged the Wildcats 3-2 in a girls tennis match on Monday afternoon. Winning in singles action for the Wildcats was Mykaela Schriber in the No. 1 match.

ADA — Ada moved to 5-0 in the Northwest Conference with a 25-20, 25-10, 25-14 victory over Allen East in Monday night volleyball action. Melina Woods had 22 kills and 4 blocks at the net and 5 digs defensively to lead the Bulldogs.

VAN WERT — Lincolnview got past Hardin Northern in five sets 19-25, 25-18, 20-25, 29-27, 15-5 in a non-league volleyball matchup Monday night. Shelby Alloway had a big match on the attack for the Polar Bears, recording 29 kills and 7 solo blocks.

ADA — Four different players scored as Ada defeated Lincolnview 4-3 in a Northwest Conference girls soccer matchup on Monday night. Alivia Okuly, Bella East, Gizem Tanriverdi and Katie Butterfield each scored goals for the Bulldogs, whole trailed 3-1 in the first half before rallying to tie the game by halftime.

There were three schools, making six four-man teams competing in the scramble with two of the Kenton teams ending the course in a tie which resulted in a playoff.

The Kenton girls tennis team had two players place in the top seven and the Wildcats finished ninth in the Western Buckeye League tournament on Saturday. Kelsey Flowers finished fifth in the third singles bracket, while Mykaela Schriber was seventh at first singles.
