In-person absentee/early voting for the May 5 primary/special election is continuing at the Hardin County Board of Elections.

Only two voting districts are involved. In Kenton, there is a Republican primary for mayor. The other issue is in the Ridgemont School District, which is seeking renewal of a .75 percent income tax for five years.

The elections board office is in the basement of the courthouse. On Saturday and Sunday the only door that will be open is on the south side of the courthouse.

Voting is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today through Friday. On Saturday, voting hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., while on Sunday voting can be done from 1 to 5 p.m. The final day to vote early is Monday, May 4 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

People who want to vote by mail can call the office at 419-674-2211 and an absentee voting request will be mailed, or they can go on the board’s website to print one (hardin@ohiosecretary-ofstate.gov).

Applications for absentee ballots to be sent by mail must be received in the board of elections office by noon Saturday, May 2. All mailed absentee ballots must be in the board office by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, May 5.
