Services for Jackie L. “Jack” Jordan will begin at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger by Pastor Dan Holbrook.

Burial will be in McDonald Fairview Cemetery, Kenton with graveside military rites performed by the Ada VFW Post 9381 Honor Guard.

Friends may call 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

He died at 3:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019 at his residence.

He was born on Feb. 14, 1950 in Kenton to Richard “Dick” and Margery (Canaan) Jordan. His father is deceased and his mother survives in Ada. On May 10, 1991, Jack married Deanna Fry and she survives in Alger

Also surviving are his four children, Michael “Shane” (Stephenie) Jordan of Kenton, Jaclyn (Joseph) Wireman of London, Jacob Sanders of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., and Joslyn (Ryan) Snyder of Alger; two sisters, Linda Jordan-Allen of Kenton and Kim (Jeff) Cole-Fitzgerald of Alger; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandson and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ronald and Dorothy Fry.

Jack was a 1968 graduate of Upper Scioto Valley High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1969 and served on the USS Suffolk County during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1975.

He worked at Ford Motor Company, Lima Engine Plant, for nearly 39 years before retiring in 2007.

He was a life member of the VFW Post 9381 serving as commander from 2008-2010. He also was a member of the Eagles Aeries 3615, Lakeview.
