Ohio Farm Bureau honors R’mont ag educator

COLUMBUS — Ridgemont High School agricultural educator Stephanie Jolliff was honored with the Cooperative/Agriculture Educator Award by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation. The presentation took place Thursday during the organization’s 97th annual meeting in Columbus.

A graveside service for Anna Marie McGairk will begin at noon Wednesday in Hueston Cemetery, Forest by the with Rev. Rex Roth. She died at her residence at 4:15 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, 2015.

Recycling scheduled in Blanchard and Hale

Monthly recycling services hosted by Blanchard Township/Dunkirk and Mount Victory/Hale Township are slated on Tuesday. The Blanchard Township/Dunkirk recycling will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. in Dunkirk in the parking lot of the former Price Funeral Home.

A brief look at Kenton High School's football history (1895-2015): One of the two oldest football traditions, and perhaps the most successful, is that of Kenton High School, which dates to their first game with Ada High School in 1895. No scores are available for the games played in the 1890s but it is known that they lost every game to Ada.
