Raiders girls rally, win 67-60 in overtime

NEW CARLISLE — Ben Logan needed a fourth-quarter rally to force overtime and then went on to defeat Trotwood 67-60 on Tuesday in Division II girls playoff basketball. The Raiders (21-3) trailed 41-35 after three quarters, but outscored Trotwood 21-15 over the final eight minutes.

USV has presale tickets for boys sectional contest

McGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley will be selling presale tickets for the Feb. 23 boys basketball sectional playoff game between the Rams and Waynesfield-Goshen at Allen East High School. The game is scheduled to tip at 8 p.m. as the second game of the doubleheader and the presale ticket will be good for the first game as well.

Strong defensive quarter gives Ada road win, 63-38

LIMA — Ada held Temple Christian scoreless in the second quarter to open a big lead and cruise to a 63-38 nonconference boys basketball victory Tuesday night. The Bulldogs (11-10) led 14-11 after the first quarter and turned that into a 27-11 advantage at halftime.

Falcons fall on road

NEW WASHINGTON — Buckeye Central held Riverdale to eight first-half points and went on to defeat the Falcons 54-32 in boys basketball action Tuesday. Buckeye Central led 17-6 after the first quarter and 28-8 at halftime.
