COLDWATER — New Bremen threw a lot of pressure at Brayden Sautter in a Division IV boys basketball sectional semifinal Tuesday night. It didn’t faze the Ada senior one bit. He scored 14 points and dished out 12 assists to help the Bulldogs to a 75-58 victory.

PAULDING — An explosive third quarter for the Kenton Wildcats set the tone for the rest of its Division II sectional semifinal boys basketball game against St. Marys on Tuesday night. The Wildcats recorded a 68-53 tournament win at Paulding for their second victory of the season. Kenton (2-21) will make the trek back to Paulding on Friday to take on No. 1 seed Defiance at 6:15 p.m.

HARROD — Tuesday’s boys Division IV sectional semifinal contest between Upper Scioto Valley and Waynesfield-Goshen turned into the Chase Rose show. The USV sophomore had 33 points, including a thundering dunk through the lane to cap his performance in the fourth quarter, to lead Rams as they overpowered the Tigers 66-46 at Allen East.

HARROD — With their backs to the wall Tuesday night, the Ridgemont boys basketball team powered its way forward. The Gophers trailed Lima Temple Christian by six points late in the third quarter and were having little success with their shots from the perimeter.

COLDWATER — Outside of one bad stretch, Hardin Northern coach Craig Hershey said he thought his team played pretty well Tuesday night in a boys basketball sectional semifinal against New Knoxville. The problem for the Polar Bears – it was a really bad stretch.

John Thomas, 1006 W. Carey St., reported that he made arrangements to purchase a vehicle on Craigslist. He got a MoneyGram from Walmart for the $1,800 vehicle price, and somehow, Thomas said, the recipient of the MoneyGram was able to pick up the money without the reference number and without delivery of the vehicle.
