Unger runs to third place at Celina Invite

CELINA — The Kenton girls cross country team took third place out of seven teams with a score of 78, and the Kenton boys placed eighth out of 10 teams with a score of 203 at the Celina Rotary Invitational on Saturday. Leading the way for the Kenton girls was freshman Sammie Unger who finished third of 61 runners with a time of 21:17.74 and an average mile of 6:51.3.

Kern, Welch lead BL boys past Southeastern

SPRINGFIELD — The Ben Logan boys soccer team scored seven unanswered goals in the first half and coasted through the second half on the way to an 8-0 win over Southeastern on Saturday. George Kern and Dylan Welch both scored three goals and added two assists for the Raiders who improve to 3-1 on the season with their second consecutive shutout.
