FOREST — When one salon closes, another opens. Jessica Ropp’s Shear Edge Salon LLC in Forest has been up and running for nearly a month at the location of the former DeGoode Salon, 124 E. Lima St. A hair stylist for 12 years, Ropp jumped at the opportunity to open her own practice when the JC Penney Salon in Findlay closed.

MOUNT VICTORY — The Mount Victory Community Improvement Corp. has awarded a business grant to Jennifer Mouser Capell, the co-owner of Rush Creek Financial.

The July 10 meeting for Buck Township trustees has been canceled due to schedule conflicts. The only meeting to be held in July will be the regular meeting on July 24th at 6 p.m. in the Grove Cemetery conference room.
