Kenton is being encouraged to form an energy district to help a local business take advantage of low-cost financing for energy upgrades. Uptown Furniture on West Lima Street wants to add rooftop solar energy to its building by utilizing the program offered by the Toledo Lucas County Port Authority.

Kenton City Council completed the annexation of land Monday night which will be the future home of the relocated Fastenal business. Council, suspending the three-reading rule, approved an ordinance to annex 2.06 acres at the corner of Bales Road and Ohio 31 on the city’s south side.

There will be a joint meeting of Buck and Pleasant Townships on Monday, April 25 at 7 p.m. in the conference room of the Kenton Municipal Building. The purpose of the meeting is to auction a fire truck and conduct any other business that is fire related.
