The Hardin County Board of Elections will hold its regular meeting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 13 in its office at the courthouse, and will be performing an audit of the 2016 primary election.

The Hardin County Agricultural Society netted around $18,000 at its annual consignment sale, fair board member Don Spar reported at the organization’s monthly meeting on Saturday night. He said there were1,267 items sold with 291 consignors.

McGUFFEY —The Upper Scioto Valley Board of Education will meet in special session at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the superintendent’s office. The board will go into closed session to interview candidates for the associate/superintendent position.

COLUMBUS — As warmer weather brings more construction activity, there’s a new enforcement process for the requirement to “call 8-1-1 before you dig.” Senate Bill 378 created a new enforcement process that took effect on Jan. 1, 2016.

The Kenton-Hardin Board of Health adopted priorities for its strategic plan at its monthly meeting Tuesday night. The board said it needs to address are obesity, drugs, access to care and public relations, said Cindy Keller, director of nursing.
