ADA — In a special meeting of the Ada Village Council on Tuesday night, council members approved the second reading of a refuse collection system ordinance. The legislation would award the contract to Wright Refuse to provide refuse collection and recycling within the village at a rate of $17.25 per month per dwelling unit.

Jackson Township trustees and employees will hold their annual in-service meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6 at the Forest-Jackson Public Library. The township trustees meeting for Dec. 18 has been canceled.

The Hardin County Agricultural Society will hold its annual election for directors on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 3 to 7 p.m. in the fair office at the Hardin County Fairgrounds.
