Amanda Striblen has joined Liberty National Bank as the Branch Operations Manager at the Kenton office, announced Ronald L. Zimmerly Jr., President and CEO. Striblen has been in the banking industry since 2012 and has held various positions.

UPPER SANDUSKY — Recruitment is now underway to enroll participants in the fall Micro Business Development Program offered by the HHWP Community Action Commission. The program consists of eleven sessions held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Thursdays evenings beginning Aug. 23 at the Wyandot County HHWP Community Action Commission office, 559 South Warpole Street in Upper Sandusky.

The August board meeting of the Hardin Soil and Water Conservation District will be on Thursday, Aug. 16 at 1 p.m., at the shelter house on the Hardin County Fairgrounds. Future meetings will resume on the regular schedule of the third Thursday of each month at 7:30 a.m. at the district office.

SIDNEY — The Midwest Regional Educational Service Center Board will have a public hearing on the re-employment of a speech language therapist retiree during its Aug. 16 meeting. The board meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Sidney office, located at 129 E. Court Street, Sidney, on the fourth floor.

ADA — Representatives of the Ada Historical Society again asked council to consider allowing the group to use the historic depot as its central location. Rhett Grant, Kathleen Anspaugh and Ruth Roider posed that idea with council on Tuesday night.
