The Hardin County Board of Elections will hold its regular meeting at 8 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9 in its office in the courthouse. This is a change from the regular time of 9 a.m.

WAYNESFIELD — Block Insurance Agency and Hastings Mutual Insurance Company have made a donation to Children’s Medical Missions West to help pay to bring children from around the world to the U.S. for medical treatment.

ALGER — The Village of Alger will experience low water pressure on Thursday morning, Aug. 2 until the interior of the water tower is repaired. Another notification will be issued if pressure is lost completely due to unforeseen circumstances.

The Kenton-Hardin Health Board will meet in special session at 6:30 on Monday to consider the hiring of an employee. The meeting will be in the health department offices.

ADA — The Ada Board of Education will meet in special session at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 2 and Thursday, Aug. 9 at the board office. The board will go into a closed session at both meetings to consider the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion or compensation of a public employee.
